Who is hosting the event and why?

Mieux Donner was founded in June 2024 by Chamonix local Jennifer Stretton and Romain Barbe with a simple question: How can we work together to help as many people as possible?

Many people want to take action for the climate, but with so many charities working on the issue, it’s hard to know which ones truly make a difference. Where does your euro go the furthest?

Fortunately, extensive research exists—we bridge the gap between this research and public knowledge. By working with independent, well-respected global charity evaluators, we make their findings clear and accessible to donors in France and Switzerland. Our mission is to help donors—big or small—support the most effective charities so their generosity has the greatest impact.

At this event, we’re raising money for our top recommended climate charities: Clean Air Task Force (CATF) and Good Food Institute (GFI). Global charity evaluators agree that these organizations provide the best value for money in terms of carbon reduction per euro donated.

During the event, we’ll dive into the research behind our recommendations, explain what these charities do, and show why supporting them is one of the most impactful ways to fight climate change.

About the Speaker: Jennifer Stretton

Jen is the co-Founder of Mieux Donner, a non profit that helps people find the best charities so that they can make the biggest impact with their donations. She is also an international mountain leader and guides adventures in the Alps, UK and the Arctic. Her goal is to do as much good as she can in her life time by raising millions for the most effective charities in the world.

Jen is the climate specialist at Mieux Donner. She writes articles on climate chnage and delivers training courses on effective climate action for individuals, outdoor guides and companies.

'I was introduced to Jen Stretton in October 2024 and her enthusiasm, knowledge, hard work and communication skills are unbeatable. Since then it feels as though, entirely with Jens help, we are making big strides in the right direction. If any individual or organisation has the opportunity to work with Jen I couldn't recommend her highly enough. They will be tapping into a veritable goldmine of resources that will have a real impact, far greater than anything or anyone I have otherwise come across."
Jon Morgan
President of British Mountain Guides Association
"Jen leads by example, giving a huge amount of her time and energy to help other organisations and businesses, inspiring us all to take similar actions. She presents the most useful information clearly and succinctly while making it relevant to our own businesses. She then follows up with support and encouragement to help us take action. Jen's support has enabled me to take a leadership role amongst my peers that I would not have felt confident taking previously."

About Mieux Donner

Mieux Donner helps individuals find the most impactful charities to make a real difference. If you’ve ever wondered how to create meaningful change or which charities truly make a difference, Mieux Donner has done the research for you.

Finding effective charities takes time and expertise. Mieux Donner simplifies this process, providing trusted recommendations for organizations tackling global health, animal welfare, climate change and reducing existential risk.

By identifying the most effective organizations—those that maximize every euro—Mieux Donner ensures donations have the greatest impact.

Supported by philanthropic grants, Mieux Donner operates independently, selecting charities purely on the merit of their effectiveness and directing 100% of your donation to your chosen charity without taking any cut.

Clean Air Task Force

Fossil fuels still account for over 85% of the world’s primary energy consumption. Clean Air Task Force (CATF) is a non-profit climate protection organization that promotes policy and technology changes to reduce greenhouse gas emissions from electricity, oil and gas production, industry and transportation. CATF has influenced several of the largest climate policy wins in the last decade include the 2024 EU Methane Regulation, 2022 US Inflation Reduction ACT and 2021 Global Methane Pledge.

Good Food Institute

Livestock farming is responsible for about 20% of global greenhouse gas emissions. Studies show that the Paris climate goals are unlikely to be met without abandoning conventional livestock farming. GFI promotes the development of plant-based and cultured meat, fish, eggs and dairy products to make them tasty, affordable and accessible to all. These cruelty-free and environmentally friendly foods are intended to replace animal products.
